To add a task to a home buy case

The procedure to add a task to a home buy case is as follows:

  1. Using the Advanced search spy-glass (), select Home Buy Case as the Search for and Search by category, and enter the Case ID as the search criteria 1.
  2. With the Results tab in current focus, double-click on the row containing the exact record match, or return to the Criteria tab and refine the search filters. The Home Buy Case Details window is displayed.
  3. Click on Tasks. The Tasks tab is activated.
  4. Click on New Task 2. The New Home Buy Task window is displayed.
  5. Using the Task drop-down field, select an appropriate task from the filtered list for inclusion in the home buy case at the current progression stage 3.
  6. Click on Save. The new task is displayed in the Tasks summary view.
  7. Repeat steps 4 through 6 to add further tasks to the home buy case 4.


Note

1 Additional search criteria may need to be employed (e.g. start and end date ranges, stage, company, status) to ensure that the correct home buy case is returned; an alternative Search by category of Contact or Contact Group may be selected to extend the available search fields.

2 This option applies to the current home buy stage only, and will be active only in the instance where the stage is set to Live status.

3 Only those tasks included within the definition of the current home buy stage are available for selection.

4 A task can only be added once to an individual home buy case from within the active progression stage; where more than one instance of a task is required, a clone of the original definition must first be created and linked separately.
