The procedure to complete a home buy task is as follows:
- Using the Advanced search spy-glass (
), select Home Buy Case as the Search for and Search by category, and enter the Case ID as the search criteria

- With the Results tab in current focus, double-click on the row containing the exact record match, or return to the Criteria tab and refine the search filters. The Home Buy Case Details window is displayed.
- Click on Tasks. The Tasks tab is activated, revealing all tasks linked to the home buy case as a series of cards, subdivided by progression status: Pending, Open, Complete and On Hold.
- Select the specific card matching the task to be completed.
- Click on Complete Task
2. The Complete Home Buy Task window is displayed.
- Using the Completion reason drop-down field, select a parameter value to qualify the circumstances surrounding the completion of the home buy task e.g. Initial acknowledgement email sent, customised housing options pack dispatched, etc.
- Use the Notes field to add contextual data in support of the home buy task being completed.
- Using the Late completion reason drop-down field, select a parameter value to qualify the circumstances surrounding the SLA target completion date having been exceeded for the home buy task; the corresponding Late completion notes field can be used to capture contextual data in support of the SLA breach

- Click on Save. The Ad hoc Communication Creation - Communication Selection window is displayed, ready to communicate with an applicant or other stakeholder in response to the home buy task having been completed

- On returning to the Tasks tab, the current status of the home buy task is set to Complete and the Completion date is stamped with the current system date.
Note
1 Additional search criteria may need to be employed (e.g. start and end date ranges, stage, company, status) to ensure that the correct home buy case is returned; an alternative Search by category of Contact or Contact Group may be selected to extend the available search fields.
2 This option is active only for home buy tasks that are currently in progress i.e. with a status of Open.
3 These fields are activated only in the instance where the SLA target date for the home buy task has expired.
4 This option is only activated in the instance where one or more communication definitions have been linked to the home buy task definition.
