The procedure to consolidate related ASB cases is as follows:
- Using the Advanced search spy-glass (
), select ASB Case as the Search for and Search by category, and enter the Case ID as the search criteria

- With the Results tab in current focus, double-click on the row containing the exact record match, or return to the Criteria tab and refine the search filters. The ASB Case Details window is displayed.
- Click on Linked Cases. The Linked Cases tab is activated.
- Click on New Linked Case. The Link ASB Case - Search Criteria window is displayed.
- Enter sufficient details into the ASB case fields provided and click on Next. The Link ASB Case - Search Results window is displayed, returning all possible matches

- Highlight the row containing the exact record match or use Refine Search to enter alternative criteria; click on Case Summary to verify the details of the intended selection.
- Click on Confirm. The selected ASB case is displayed in the Linked Cases summary table.
- Click on Save

Note
1 Additional search criteria may need to be employed (e.g. start and end date ranges, category, company, status) to ensure that the correct ASB case is returned; an alternative Search by category of Contact or Contact Group may be selected to extend the available search fields.
2 Only those ASB cases matching the same functional unit as that of the end user, together with those either owned or managed by them will be returned in the result set; ASB cases with no assigned functional unit will also be included.
3 Any number of ASB cases may be linked to an individual core case file; similarly the same ASB case may be linked to multiple core case files, as required.
