To create a new Documotive EDM integration service

The procedure to create a new Documotive EDM integration service is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > System > Configuration > Integration Management. The Integration Management window is displayed.
  2. Click on New Integration. All fields are activated ready for data entry 1.
  3. Using the Company drop-down field, multi-select all companies applicable to this EDM integration service, or choose the All option, as required 1.
  4. Enter a name for the EDM integration service into the Name of Integration field provided 2.
  5. Using the Type of Integration drop-down field, select the specific parameter value of EDM System; set the adjacent Integration field to Documotive.
  6. Use the Description field to add contextual information in support of the EDM integration service.
  7. Enter the unique web service address for the locally installed EDM system into the Reference field provided.
  8. Where the stored content is to be retrieved from All repositories configured within the EDM system, activate the tick box provided 3.
  9. Alternatively, enter a Repository name into the field provided i.e. a named folder within the repository hierarchy from where stored content will be retrieved.
  10. Choose an Effective from date for this EDM integration service i.e. the date on which it came into effect.
  11. Choose an Effective to date if the EDM integration service is to be reviewed on a specific date or to capture a change of circumstances; a blank field means the service will be continually valid.
  12. Use the Active tick box provided to determine the operational status of the EDM integration service.
  13. Click on Save. The new EDM integration service appears in the alphabetical list, underneath the associated categorisation headings.


Tip

1 Where only a small number of parameter values are not required, activate the All tick box first and then deselect individual items from the full list, as appropriate; the All tick box will be automatically removed once an item is deselected.

Note

1 Upon first access, all fields are automatically activated ready for data entry; hence the New Integration button is inactive.

2 System validation rules ensure that the name entered for each EDM integration service is unique for the effective period.

3 This is the default setting for a Documotive integration service; hence the option must be deactivated before a sub-folder can be specified.
