A landlord is required to give a tenant sufficient notice before a rent increase is to take effect, and the expectations surrounding rent increases are often stated in the tenancy agreement. As part of the rent review process, bespoke communication definitions, incorporating the appropriate template text, can be created and linked to an individual agreement type (e.g. Tenancy, Starter Tenancy, etc.) within a review model. The increased agreement charge notifications resulting from a rent review can then be generated en bloc for each agreement type and despatched to all affected tenants via a communication queue. All components of a rent increase communication - the format, the style, the recipient-specific fields (merge tags), the output channels (Letter, Email, Text Message), the designated queue - are controlled by the end user within the communication definition; any number of communication definitions can be maintained on the system.
