In the vast majority of cases, the use of segment criteria alone will be sufficient to identify the desired cohort of contacts in preparation for a targeted campaign programme. However, on occasions it may be required to include additional contacts outside of the derived subset, and these may be added manually to the audience segment on an ad hoc basis.
The procedure to add a contact to a segmented campaign audience is as follows:

2. The Audience tab is activated, revealing a list of all contacts currently matched to the campaign through the segment criteria.

1 The Search Campaign field will match against any element of the description.
2 At least one segment must be linked to the campaign definition before an audience can be compiled and additional contact records appended to it.
3 The primary focus of the search window - contacts or contact groups - is determined by the Audience Type linked to the campaign definition.
