The procedure to add a rent adjustment to a batch is as follows:
- Navigate to Quick Menu > Rents > Configuration > Rent Adjustment Batches. The Adjustment Batch Details window is displayed.
- Expand an adjustment batch status heading from the alphabetical list and select an associated batch reference or type the reference directly into the Search Adjustment Batches field. By default the list is filtered to show Open adjustment batches. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Entered, Awaiting Authorisation, Posted, Cancelled, Part Posted or All

- Click on Details. The Details tab is activated, revealing a list of all current batched adjustments in the Adjustments summary table.
- Select the Account Reference to which the adjustment relates using the spy-glass icon (
). The Search Account window is displayed.
- Enter sufficient account-related details into the search fields provided and click on Search. All possible matches are returned in the Accounts summary table.
- Highlight the row containing the exact record match and click on Confirm. The Account Reference, Value (exclusive of VAT) and VAT Value are populated from the matching result.
- Click on Add / Update Adjustment
2. The new rent adjustment appears in the Adjustments summary table, with values equal and opposite to the account being adjusted.
- Repeat steps 4 through 7 to add further rent adjustments to the batch.
- Click on Save

Optionally, to add a rent adjustment to a batch (as a new account entry):
- Repeat steps 1 through 3, described in the procedure to add a rent adjustment to a batch (above).
- Activate the New Account tick box provided. The Account Type field is activated.
- Using the Account Type drop-down field, select the appropriate parameter value for the new account e.g. Rental, Residential, Non Residential, Sundry, etc.
- Select the Agreement Reference to which the adjustment relates using the spy-glass icon (
). The Select Agreement Episode window is displayed.
- Enter sufficient agreement-related details into the search fields provided and click on Search. All possible matches are returned in the Agreement Episodes summary table.
- Highlight the row containing the exact record match and click on Confirm. The Agreement Reference and Details fields are populated with the matching result.
- Click on Add / Update Adjustment
2. The new rent adjustment appears in the Adjustments summary table.
- Click on Save

Note
1 The Search Adjustment Batches field will match against any element of the batch reference.
2 It is only permitted to add a rent adjustment to a batch where the status is set to Entered or Awaiting Authorisation.
3 System validation rules verify the end user's permission levels in respect of the Maximum adjustment batch value (overall batch total) and Maximum adjustment value (individual line total) threshold values being exceeded; the batch status Awaiting Authorisation will be automatically assigned, as appropriate.
