Parent Previous Next

The procedure to calculate element charges using a rent review model is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Rents > Configuration > Rent Review. The Rent Review window is displayed.
  2. Expand a rent charge review status heading from the alphabetical list and select an associated cycle or type the description directly into the Search Rent Review field. By default the list is filtered to show Open rent review cycles. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: In Progress, Selection Complete, Applied, Part Applied, Notifications Generated, Cancelled or All 1.
  3. Click on Models. The Models tab is activated.
  4. Using the Model drop-down field, select the model from which the charge element uplift values will be applied.
  5. Click on Calculate Charges 2. The end user is asked to affirm the operation before the proposed charge increases for all review model elements are calculated. Once complete, the results of the calculations appear in the Element Charges summary table and the status of the review model is set to Calculated 3.

Note

1 The Search Rent Review field will match against any component of the cycle description.

2 All Effective and Next Review dates must be entered for each charge category combination before the proposed charges can be calculated.

3 To analyse the results of an alternative charge uplift scenario, select a different model from the drop-down field; each model will store the corresponding proposed results.
