The procedure to define a SOR rule for a PSL asset management agreement type is as follows:
- Navigate to Quick Menu > Assets > Configuration > Agreement Type. The Asset Management Agreement Types window is displayed.
- Select a PSL asset management agreement type from the alphabetical list, or type its name into the Search Management Types field. By default the list is filtered to show Current management types. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations
1.
- Click on SORs
2. The SORs tab is activated.
- Click on New SOR Rule. The Partial Repairs - Search SORs window is displayed.
- Enter a Description for the new PSL SOR rule definition into the field provided
3.
- Choose an Effective from date for this PSL SOR rule definition i.e. the date on which it came into effect
4.
- Choose an Effective to date if the PSL SOR rule definition status is to be reviewed on a specific date, or to capture a change of circumstances; a blank field means the rule will be continually valid.
- Click on Next. The Partial Repairs - Select SORs window is displayed, revealing all composite schedules of repair and renewal tasks.
- To select a subset of SORs to be fulfilled by the housing organisation: (a) Click on the nested expansion level pointer icons (
) to reveal the associated trades and concatenated SOR codes + descriptions
5; (b) Activate the tick box against any combination of trade, section trade and SOR description elements to compile the target task list; (c) Click on Add to transfer the chosen subset to the right ('required') pane, or Add All to transfer all displayed records, irrespective of tick box status
6.
- Click on Select. The chosen SOR code subset is summarised in the Rule Details summary table
7.
Note
1 The Search Management Types field will match against any element of the PSL asset management agreement type description.
2 This option is only available for PSL asset management agreement types where the Repair category has been configured as Partial Repairs.
3 System validation rules ensure that the description entered for each new SOR rule definition is unique for the effective period.
4 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
5 The composite schedule can be refined by entering a component of the SOR code or description into the dynamic search field provided.
6 In the same way, use the options Remove and Remove All in conjunction with the associated tick box fields to transfer SOR code entries out of the right ('required') pane.
7 Within each company, only one SOR rule definition can be effective for a PSL asset management agreement type at any one time; where overlapping Effective from and Effective to dates are detected, the user will be asked to amend the values accordingly.
