To define the default status progression reason codes for an application type

Parent Previous Next

During the lifecycle of an application, its journey is tracked using a number of different status codes, reflecting the movement from initial submission right through to successful allocation, matching the requirements and priorities of the applicant to an organisation asset, non-organisation asset or other service type. As each status is ascribed, it can also be accompanied by a qualifying reason code, providing contextual background to an application's standing.

The procedure to define the default status progression reason codes for an application type is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Allocations > Configuration > Application Type. The Application Type window is displayed.
  2. Select an application type from the alphabetical list or enter its name into the Search Application Types field. By default the list is filtered to show Current application types. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations 1.
  3. Click on Status Change Reasons. The Status Change Reasons tab is activated.
  4. Using the Application Created - In Progress drop-down field, select the desired parameter value to reflect the qualifying reason code applicable to that status change 2.
  5. Complete the selection of all remaining drop-down fields, as required, focusing on those grouped status progression areas - submissions, offers, awards, verifications, nominations - where an assigned reason code is warranted 3.
  6. Click on Save.

Note

1 The Search Application Types field will match against any element of the application type description.

2 These custom values can be populated by the end user via the system parameter entitled Application Status Change Reasons.

3 The utilisation of reason codes for one or more application types is at the discretion of the end user and therefore any chosen subset is permitted.
