The procedure to add a stock condition attribute to an asset is as follows:
- Using the global search facility, type in the first few characters of the asset address

- With the results displayed in the Asset tab, double-click on the row containing the exact record match. Where the expected record is not listed, a more advanced search can be conducted using the spy-glass icon (
).
- Click on Asset Details. The Asset Details window is displayed for the current asset.
- Click on Stock Condition
1. The Stock Condition tab is activated.
- Click on New Survey Attribute. The Attribute Details window is displayed.
- Using the Element, Component and Attribute drop-down fields, select the inter-related parameter values to pinpoint the inherent feature of the property against which a future planned repair, upgrade or service might be linked.
- Enter the Installation date for the attribute using the calendar icon (
), or type in the value directly (format DD/MM/YY or DD/MM/YYYY).
- Where the attribute is being added retrospectively as a result of Completed work, activate the corresponding tick box provided; the adjacent Data source field is automatically updated to Completed Works

- Select the Surveyor who conducted the stock condition survey linked to the identified attribute: (a) Click on the spy-glass icon (
) - The Search Contact window is displayed; (b) Enter sufficient contact or contact group details into the search fields provided and click on Search - The Select Contact window is displayed, returning all possible matches; (c) Double-click on the row containing the exact record match or use Refine Search to enter alternative criteria - The name of the Surveyor is displayed in the corresponding field

- Enter the Survey date using the calendar icon (
), or type in the value directly (format DD/MM/YY or DD/MM/YYYY).
- Choose an Effective from date for this new stock condition attribute i.e. the date on which the attribute came into effect

- Choose an Effective to date if the stock condition attribute is to be time bound; a blank field means the attribute will be continually valid.
- Use the Notes field to add contextual information relevant to the new stock condition attribute.
- Click on Save. The new entry is displayed in the Stock Condition Data grid, within the nested elemental structure.
Tip
1 Use the Left (
) and Right (
) scrolling arrows to reveal additional tabs that might be hidden from view.
Note
1 The search facility will return all possible matches for any corresponding address field once the Number of characters before an automatic search commences system preference is reached.
2 By default, the Data source field displays the value Cx.
3 Only one contact or contact group can be linked as the surveyor at any one time.
4 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
