The procedure to add a points priority weighting to an allocations list is as follows:
- Navigate to Quick Menu > Allocations > Configuration > Allocation List. The Allocation List window is displayed.
- Select an allocations list from the alphabetically sorted entries or type its name into the Search Allocation Lists field. By default the entries are filtered to show Current allocation lists. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All
1.
- Click on List Priority. The List Priority tab is activated.
- Click on New List Priority. The Priority Search window is displayed.
- Using the Priority Type drop-down field, select the Points parameter value. Enter any additional attributes of the desired allocation list priority into the remaining search fields provided and click on Search. The Priority Search Result window is displayed, returning all possible matches
1.
- Activate the Select tick box against the row containing the exact record match or use Refine Search to enter alternative criteria.
- For a manually assigned points priority selection, enter the control factors into the fields provided. This procedural step mirrors that covered separately in the topic To create a manually assigned points based allocation priority; proceed to step 21.
- Alternatively, for a time incremental points priority selection, enter the control factors into the fields provided. This procedural step mirrors that covered separately in the topic To create a time incremental points based allocation priority; proceed to step 21.
- Otherwise, where an automatically assigned points priority is selected, the Priority Rule window is displayed.
- Click on Statement Builder. The Statement Builder For Allocation List Priority Point window is displayed.
- Enter a Validation tag into the field provided by expanding the entity heading and selecting the desired field. Alternatively, typing the name into the Search Tags field will find all possible matches
2.
- Using the Expression drop-down field, select an appropriate value ( = <> < <= > >= In) for the condition.
- Enter the matching Condition into the field provided. Text and values should be entered directly i.e. without quotation marks.
- Click on And/Or to add a further condition to the same statement function. Use the drop-down field to change the expression operator. By default, And is displayed.
- Repeat step 14 to add further conditions, as required, adjusting the Order number to control the sequence of execution. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
- Click on End Condition and Save
3. The statement identifier is displayed in the Rule field.
- Enter the numeric Points Value into the field provided i.e. the number of points conditionally assigned to the allocation list priority.
- Choose an Effective from date for this conditional points assignment i.e. the date on which it came into effect
4.
- Choose an Effective to date if the conditional points assignment is to be reviewed on a specific date or to capture a change of circumstances; a blank field means the points assignment will be continually valid.
- Repeat steps 10 through 19 to define further rules for automatically assigned points priorities.
- Click on Confirm. The new record is displayed in the List Priority summary table
5.
- Click on Save.
Tip
1 To return all allocation list priorities in the results subset, simply click on Search without specifying any matching criteria.
Note
1 The Search Allocation Lists field will match against any element of the allocation list description.
2 The entity values available for selection are filtered according to the relevant module.
3 To remove an existing condition statement, select the corresponding row in the condition summary table and click on Remove And/Or Condition.
4 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
5 To amend the details of an existing list priority, double-click on the desired row in the List Priority summary table and repeat steps 7 through 22 (as appropriate).
