To clear a user defined filter from a waiting list

A waiting list can be analysed in a variety of ways by applying user defined filters and sorts to compile a subset of applicants. Where an alternative subset is required, the first step is to clear all current filter criteria by restoring the full membership list. In order to provide all procedural steps in chronological order, this topic includes applying an initial filter to the default list.


The procedure to clear a user defined filter from a waiting list is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Allocations > Allocation Management > Waiting Lists. The Waiting Lists window is displayed.
  2. Expand an application type from the alphabetically sorted entries and select an associated waiting list, or type the name into the Search Waiting List field. By default the entries are filtered to show Current waiting lists. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations 1.
  3. The List Members summary table reveals all applicants included on the waiting list.
  4. Apply an initial filter to the waiting list. This requisite step is covered separately in the topic To apply a user defined filter to a waiting list.
  5. Click on Restore Defaults 2. The applied user defined filter is cleared in preparation for subsequent waiting list analysis.
  6. Click on Close.


Note

1 The Search Waiting List field will match against any element of the waiting list description.

2 This option is only activated once a filter is in operation; on closing the Waiting Lists window, any previous filter is automatically cleared.
