To view the legal proceedings relevant to an ASB case

The procedure to view the legal proceedings relevant to an ASB case is as follows:

  1. Using the Advanced search spy-glass (), select ASB Case as the Search for and Search by category, and enter the Case ID as the search criteria 1.
  2. With the Results tab in current focus, double-click on the row containing the exact record match, or return to the Criteria tab and refine the search filters. The ASB Case Details window is displayed.
  3. Click on Contacts. The Contacts tab is activated, revealing a list of all contacts and contact groups associated with the ASB case in the Case Contacts summary table.
  4. Highlight the row matching the contact or contact group against which legal proceedings have been undertaken.
  5. Click on Contact Summary. The Contact Summary window is displayed.
  6. Click on Legal Action. The Legal Action tab is activated, revealing a list of all legal proceedings undertaken against the contact or contact group in the summary table 1. Certain fields are worthy of special note and are captured in the table below.
  7. Click on Close.


Tip

1 By default, all legal proceedings are displayed in chronological order; to aid analysis, rows can be reordered by clicking on any of the available headings.

Note

1 Additional search criteria may need to be employed (e.g. start and end date ranges, category, company, status) to ensure that the correct ASB case is returned; an alternative Search by category of Contact or Contact Group may be selected to extend the available search fields.


Field

Description

Entity

The module from which the legal proceedings were initiated i.e. ASB or Rents.

Type

The specific legal action undertaken against the contact e.g. Notice, Court Application, Order Obtained, Eviction, etc.

Account reference

The unique reference for the rent account against which legal proceedings were applied, where relevant.

Date

The key date relevant to the legal action e.g. the date on which the eviction notice comes into effect, the date of a court application, the commencement of an anti-social behaviour order, etc.
