The procedure to serve an ASB court order is as follows:
- Using the Advanced search spy-glass (
), select ASB Case as the Search for and Search by category, and enter the Case ID as the search criteria

- With the Results tab in current focus, double-click on the row containing the exact record match, or return to the Criteria tab and refine the search filters. The ASB Case Details window is displayed.
- Click on Legal Action. The Legal Action tab is activated.
- Click on New Order
2. The ASB Order window is displayed.
- Using the Case contact drop-down field, select the perpetrator against whom the ASB order is being served

- Using the Order type drop-down field, select an appropriate parameter value for the ASB order i.e. Interim, Standalone, County Court, On Conviction in Criminal Proceedings.
- Enter the Order date using the calendar icon (
), or type in the value directly (format DD/MM/YY or DD/MM/YYYY) i.e. the date on which the ASB order comes into effect.
- Using the Obtained by drop-down field, select an appropriate parameter value to identify the origin of the ASB order e.g. Local Authority, Housing Association, Registered Social Landlord, Housing Action Trust, etc.
- Use the Details field to add contextual data in support of the ASB order being obtained.
- Enter the Expiry date using the calendar icon (
), or type in the value directly (format DD/MM/YY or DD/MM/YYYY) i.e. the date on which the ASB order expires.
- Where the perpetrator has broken the terms of the ASB order, activate the Order broken tick box provided.
- Enter the desired value for each user defined field configured for an ASB court order, as required. The permitted value type (Date Only, Date Time, Decimal, Integer, Lookup, Text, Time Only, True or False), format and range is set in advance within the field definition.
- Click on Save. The ASB order record is displayed in the Legal Action summary table

Note
1 Additional search criteria may need to be employed (e.g. start and end date ranges, category, company, status) to ensure that the correct ASB case is returned; an alternative Search by category of Contact or Contact Group may be selected to extend the available search fields.
2 This option is inactive for ASB cases that are set to a status of Cancelled or Closed.
3 This field includes only those contact records that are linked to the ASB case.
4 Only mandatory fields must be populated at the outset; further information can be appended to the record once known, simply by double-clicking on the entry in the Legal Action summary table.
